Brussels sprouts
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Quarter Brussels sprouts and set aside in a bowl.
  3. Chop up apple into tiny sections, about the same size as the Brussels sprouts, and add to the same bowl.
  4. Slice the pecans in half, or simply leave whole, and add to bowl.
Maple balsamic glaze
  1. Combine olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and maple syrup in small dish.
  2. Chop garlic and combine with mixture.
  3. Pour mixture over Brussels sprouts and stir to combine.
  4. Season with salt and pepper, and thyme to taste.
  5. Pour mixture onto baking sheet, spreading evenly.
  6. Place in oven and cook for roughly 20 minutes, until Brussels sprouts are easy to pierce with a fork. Stir every 5 minutes to promote even browning and lessen the chance of the pecans burning.
  7. Enjoy as a side dish with your favorite main dish!
